I originally was looking for a set of wheels I could get custom offsets, since the rear wheels seem to be more sunken in, but can across a steal on some forgestar f14 18x8.5 +38. So I ended up purchasing them and thinking about getting some 20mm spacers for the rears to even out the look. I've did some searching but haven't found the best option for the CT. What has everyone used? Bolt on or extended stud replacement spacers? I know some people will frown on spacers all together but if done properly, there should be no issues. I believe the safest route may be extended stud replacement. Just not sure how easy it is to access the rear hubs to replace the studs, I may just leave it alone and deal with the rears being more sunken in. Any help would be appreciated.

with 20mm spacers, I believe your oem studs may protrude a little bit beyond the width of the spacer itself and make contact with the rear face of the wheels. I havent tried personally on a ct, but my prev car was only able to clear oem studs using 25mm spacers

One thing to consider, if the rear of your wheels have deep ... whats the proper word for this .... cut outs? grooves? Notches? Such a deep hole/groove/cut out/notch may accommodate those few 5mm's that stick out past the spacer.

Another image I googled ... if the rear of your wheels have room, you may be in luck and be able to pull off 20mm spacers. Either way ... good luck

What ^^^^°^he said. Look at your wheels, you should have pockets between each bolt for the stud to go into. You should be fine. Doing all this searching and Facebook group post about it will not do as much as you going outside and pulling the wheel off and test fitting it to see how much of a spacer you need.

I'm just trying to find someone with experience using spacers on these cars. I know it's pretty much the same on any car. I just don't want to purchase a set of $100 spacers to "test" the fitment and then not be satisfied or it not work properly. These forgestars are built to specs and doesn't really have the "pockets" that a lot of wheels have. I'll probably just go with extended stud spacers because I'm still on factory alignment since my F Sport springs were installed.

I have 20mm spacers on the rear and I had to get the studs cut down a hair. It wasn't a big deal and they are not attached to the hub, so if you want to take the spacer off it will cost you about $20 in new studs.

If you are using stock wheels I would use a 25mm spacer anyway. I am running 19x8.5 with a +40mm offset so even without the spacer I am already out further than stock. The spacers have been wearing my tires unevenly however the tighter fitment and extra camber looks cool and I think it's worth it.

So are you running the 20mm spacers on your 19x8.5? If so, do you have a pic?

People are probably sick of seeing this photo set on this forum but I don't have any new pictures of my car. hahaha I will try and take one from the rear angle to give a better example later. I also have a thread on my wheel spacers however that was when I had 8x18+40 rims, now they are out an additional 5mm with my new rims.

Nice! Couple of questions - what are you lowered on? This pic is with the 20mm spacers in the rear? Is the pic photoshopped or do you have a big brake kit up front, lol?

Thanks! I have it lowered on the blue F sport springs... I want it to be about half an inch lower though... I really wish I got adjustable coil-overs but I don't want to spend the money on them now. Also with my 235-19r35 my car is raised up to about stock height again but its stance is a lot better.

Thanks for the info. Crazy how even your drop looks on F Sports. I know its a even drop but always seems to look as the rears come down more due to the archers being different. After seeing your car, I may scale down on the spacers. Your rears stick out a little farther then I'm looking for. I have a set of 5mm cheap stamped spacers I may throw on just to see but Im thinking 10mm will even out the stance.

That's a good idea. Just get the 5mm which are cheap and see if you like them. My spacers where expensive as I got them custom made locally because I didn't want to cheap out and have my wheel fall off with the amount of offset I have. I think they stick out a bit too much with my new rims too but with my old ones they were perfect IMO.

quick question.. i just picked up my 2017 CT with stock 17" rims. would like to know what spacer would i need for the rear to make the stock tires more flush?
