2012 Lexus CT 200H
What is difference between FWD 4dr Hybrid and FWD 4dr Hybrid Premium?
Is a 2012 CT 200H work $16,500 with 59,600 miles?
Front and Rear Bumpers replaced, needed as daily in town driver for about 20 miles.

IDK about the 2012, but I have a 2013. I remembered on the 2013 they did away with the PREMIUM designation which included NAVI, LEATHER, UPGRADED SOUND, aND rims.
2013 they changed to Luxury and Premium package. The luxury package got all the goodies. I got all the options except F Sport and HUD.
The price can be a little bit better since it is out if warranty and for 16.5k, there are lots of other choices around. Maybe go for around 12k assuming all mechanicals check out. With bumper replaced, this could have frame damsge? I would check into what happened? Any pics? Which bodyshop did thd work? Any paperwork on the body work? If done by a Lexus dealer, they offer lifetime warranty, but maybe only to the original owner?
Regardless of price, it IS a good commuter car!!!! I get around 38 mpg in spirited driving. Seems like the more miles, the better the mpg. I used to get like 34mpg with my heavy foot, but it got better. Plus it takes regular gas!!!

Thank you for the reply. From my research the powertrain has same displacement and horsepower at the 2012 Prius. So, I ask if this Lexus use the same battery system as the Prius, where is it located and how to inspect it?

Anyone have a the "Maintenance Schedule for the 2012 Lexus CT 200H"? I belong to a Diesel forum that has it online and wondering if this forum does also?

The CT200H shares the same drive train and engine as the same year Pruis.
The hybrid battery is located behind the second row seats. Just lift the cover behind the second row seats and you will see bright orange covers with warnings of high voltage. I'm not sure where the 12 volt car battery is located on the CT200H. Maybe in the front engine bay area? IDK. On my RX450H this is also located in the back.
The 12 volt battery will fail way befobefore the drive train hybrid battery banks. Maybe like in 4 to 5 years or sooner depending where you are located. Colder climates tend to kill batteries sooner. The hybrid drive train batteries should last at least 8+years or 250K+ miles. If you are in CA, the CA state mandates a longer warranty on the hybrid batteries. It is the connection points at the hybrid batteries you need to visually inspect for any corrosions as this will affect the hybrid batteries performance. Due to the high voltage and all those warning labels I would have an expert do any repairs if needed. But to just look, I guess once you have the covers off and with heavy leather gloves and eye protection goggles, you can see the connection points at the hybrid batteries.
Also you can recall the mpg history from the NAVI display screen and see historical information UNLESS the previous owner or someone had cleared them.
Overall the built quality is excellent and you should get a lot of miles and years of excellent service out of it, assuming NO PRIOR major mechanical or frame body damsge. Do work all the switches and listen for any unusual noises. Open and close all doors and the hatchback. Have the car put on a lift to see underneath for any damage or claw marks where the bodyshop attached it's frame straightening nachine. I would be very suspicious if I see brand new plastic covers under the car or non matching (some old and some new) covers. I would then insist on removing all underneath plastuc covers and see what's happening. The covers are very easy to remove aND put back. Just need a flat head screw driver to pop out the tabs.
Also take all 4 wheels off and look at the brake pads. They all should have MINIMUM wear bc most of the braking is done by the hybrid drive system. The only time the brake pads make contact with the rotors is really at slow parking lot speeds (also I guess if you do a PANIC stop which should not happen that often ). Lots of brake pads wear on the hybrid cars equals ABUSE of the car. You probably will not need to change out the pads until like 150k to 200k miles .
Good luck.
