Windshield Wiper Installation
Hi, peeps!
I didn't realize I can just change the rubber insert on my blades, so I bought an entire blade. Actually, I've bought three-- the last coming directly from a Lexus dealership. BUT I can't get the installation right.
Passenger-side. 2012 CT200. It's a j-hook installation-- and I've done that many times before on other cars and had no problems.
It does this weird thing where it kind of bows out and doesn't entirely sit flush with the windshield; maybe 1/2 of the blade is fine (on the windshield). When comparing it to the blade on there now that works, it's like the new blade doesn't meet the hook at the same place on the blade.
But I've been told that the blade is 100% the correct part.
Any ideas? I started off thinking I'd save money by doing it myself (the dealership charges $60 for the blade and installation); now, I'm not so sure!
Thanks SO much!
