So.... I got a 14 CT200h premium, I had experiencing minor rattle/noise coming from the rear roof. this year summer, the rattle/noise starting to get really noticeable! sounded like something is loose inside of headliner and hitting the top of the roof. so I decide to open the headliner and see what cause the such rattle, and here is what I found:

This foam block which glued on inside of headliner became loose and hitting the roof when drive over uneven surface.

Close up, it has tow, left and right, and both of them are loose.

took both of the out, test drove, n the annoy roof rattle/noise is gone!

Could the glue melted because of the hot weather? I'm just glade my CT ride like a lexus now

not sure why you didn't take it to the dealer and have them fix it ?

I'm not sure why didn't I have dealer to fix it. I live in a very confusing life, but all i know is the rattle and noise is fixed! and i know what exactly was causing the rattle/noise

Documented DIY spirit is always nice. Is there no other insulation on the roof in addition to that liner?

Why did you not secure them instead of removing them?
