FWIW mine is 3 yrs old and 31000 mi and no smell at all. but i NEVER have it on recirc, unless i'm behind some stinky exhaust truck or something.
our mercedes, on the other hand, started smelling like dirty feet around 6 months into ownership, despite only having 5,000 on the odo.

Klima Cleaener. This works great and is similar to the stuff in the video link above. You spray it thru the center vents in the car, but I have also sprayed it thru the drain tube from under the car. I have 2 more cans in the garage for the next time. You can also spray Lysol thru the outside vents at the windshield.

No fix - not happy
So i came across this forum after complaining to my dealer & corporate and getting the same answer. The problem is caused by a programming/design flaw. When starting the car it defaults to "air re-circulation mode" that, if not manually change to "outside air mode" each time before the car is turned off, can cause the air trapped inside the vents/tubes to become stale and moldy. I think this is completely unacceptable for a luxury car, but don't know what to do. I'll try this charcoal filter that people seem to talk about, if I don't have one already, and hoping the problem will die down with the heat in NY. I was told that if enough people complain to Lexus they can distribute a programming fix to dealers, but I'm not holding my breath.(pun intended). -Stinky.

What works for me is to turn off the AC about 5 minutes from your destination and keep the fan on med-high and set the air flow to outside and not recirc. It helps to dry out the moisture causing the mold growth. I live in a dry climate so not sure if it will work in a high humidity region.
Also rather than recirculate, having the AC on with outside air for two weeks can dissipate smells
