Went to the dealer for my 5k mile check/service and they never reset my oil maintenece light! do we know how to do this yet?! I rather not drive all the way back just for that- and they haven't called me back about it yet either..

After changing the engine oil (U.S.A. only)
The engine oil maintenance data should be reset. Perform the following procedures:
Switch the display to the trip meter “A” (→P. 188) when the hybrid system
is operating.
Turn the “POWER” switch off.
While pressing the trip meter reset button (→P. 188), turn the “POWER”
switch to ON mode (do not start the hybrid system because otherwise
the reset mode will be canceled). Continue to press and hold the button
until the trip meter displays “000000” and the multi-information display
indicates that the reset is complete.

What Dennis said. If you have the NAV too, after resetting the light, don't forget to go into the NAV settings under Vehicle and change the maintenance interval to the correct mileage so you get reminded for the next service checkup!

Interesting, when did your light come on, right at 5K? Don't know that the light is specific to changing the oil though, guessing it's just for maintenance, given the 10K oil interval?

It's set up to go off every 5,000 even though you don't actually change the oil until every 10,000.

and it can be reset at any time also.....it will go off every 5,000 miles from the time its reset...

the car still gets maintenance items done every 5,000 miles....tire rotation at 5k...and filters at 15k...etc

Very useful thread. I've changed my oil 6 times and I always forget how to reset the oil change reminder.
