Maybe I can meet with you again Matt to try the reverse lights

Thank you sir!
Sounds good, I nominate Matt!

Default How to change map lights on ct200h

Dear all,

Hope everyone is doing wonderful. I'm having some difficulties removing/changing the map lights. Any advice on how to remove the head control? Pictures on how to do so is greatly appreciated.

Default Exchange map light.

No need to remove the overhead unit (although it's easy). To remove map light, first look at individual light. It is enclosed in a clear rectangular plastic dome. Insert a butter knife between the plastic dome and the plastic of the overhead unit at the side where it is closer to the windshield, using the plastic dome as a leverage, pull the plastic dome out in a down and back (towards the rear of the car) motion. The rectangular plastic dome should come off.

So the lights are sweet got them from Tony. Left the puddle lights for last and i would say it's kinda tough. I shattered my mirror.

Sucks i'm sure this will be expensive to fix.

^not really, mirror glass is relatively inexpensive and you can replace it yourself if you know your way around with a screwdriver, allen key and a wrench. Dont let the dealer charge you $500+ until after you attempt it yourself.

So i went out to try the 2nd one because at this point who cares. Well it came off so easy i couldn't believe it. Switched it out no problem. Not sure why the first was so difficult.

So now it's on to ordering the part after i stop at the dealer to see if they have it in stock.

Hope this helps everyone.

Just got back from the Lexus dealer they would not cover under warranty. No surprise there. They did however give me a deal on the part at $80 better than waiting a week to save 10 bucks after shipping. It looked to me like there was much more of the white glue stuff on the on that broke. I think that might have been the issue but proving that is a manufacturing issue is pretty much impossible.

Anyways likes looks sweet and car is all back together.

Are you serious? Trying to comprehend that pulling the mirror up would shatter as shown in the photo! Glad to hear it's all worked out/fixed.

Regarding that white glue stuff, my drivers side had a ton of it (it's sticky, but can't see it doing that to your mirror) and the passengers side didn't have any.

Just wanted to thank you for this thread. i recieved my kit from luxurymods today and installed everything including the mirror puddle lights

everything went on really easily, i would say the worst bulb to fiddle with was the trunk light, i have never seen a weirder contraption, Lexus shocked me there. Anyhow, bulbs look great, hopefully they will last

thanks again
