Default Illuminated Door Sills Unboxing and Install (updated with rear and front install)

All,

Just got my door sills. Follow the link to see whats included in the box. I'll also post videos on the installation later.

All, finished the install early today but I am running the shamrock shuffel in chicago and I need to do some video editing. Took me 30 min to install both sides. This is what they look like. I will post the install later tomorrow afternoon. Also had some audio issues so my apologies. Feel free to ask questions.

Ok. Here is the completed video. Took me around 15 min per side. I took my time. Didn’t want to mess anything up. I kind of like to double check anything I do. This should cut down how much time it takes to install these if you want to. Really doesn’t take much technical skill. I saved over $200. My local Lexus dealer wanted over $400 for the install and this was at a discount.

The video is split in two sections the Driver and passenger side. You tube has a limit of 15 min per video. I did have some problems with the audio here and there. But it was a live take and no turning back. My apologies for the muffle noises. My wife helped me out. She is a patient woman and has a steady hand. Thanks babe!

If you have questions just post them and I will reply.

EBPMAN.

Just a question on the installation, why wouldn't you simply splice the wiring to the circuitry of button in the door frame that registers when the door is open?

This is what my auto-electrician did when I had illuminated door sills installed on my IS250.

1. The led source and ground is easy to access.

2. This source is on an auto dimming and turn off circuit. If you leave the door open for an extended period the light turns off.

Default Reconnecting Battery after Sill install

Hi...is the battery reconnect straightforward after sill install? Do you have to reset anything or is it all straightforward. So many items run on the battery...just wonder if disconnecting it , deprograms anything.
