Default CT200h Replacement Key - How Much

I didn't lose the FOB, just the part that clips into the FOB. Anyone know how much the clip part is? Do I just go to Lexus with the VIN and order one? Thanks

I know this is an old post but for those interested here is what I did and it worked flawlessly. The dealership will replace your key for something like $350-400...yikes. I ordered an UNLOCKED key off ebay for about $75, sometimes you can find em cheaper. Make sure it is a REAL lexus key(they take em from junked cars and flash them to clear the codes) Just make sure the FCC code on the back matches your existing key. Once I got it I took it to a little bull**** locksmith kiosk in the parking lot of a shopping center near my house. The guys were able to program the fob and cut the key in 15 minutes, They charged $100. I called many lock smiths and they all charge about $100 for this service. Most of them dont know if they can do it...they probably can. If thier computer can communicate with your car they can program the key, tell them to try.

So I paid $175 for a new key, a lot better than $350-400. Please also note that the Lexus CT200h can only have 4 keys programmed to it at once. This means if you lose a key it is still programmed to your car. Once you have 4 keys programmed you will need to reprogram your car to a new code for a new key the next time.
