eww cloth... but I do like to see that wood will be an option in the interior. I like the look of the wood too, very Volvo-ish and European

IMO this is the best wood Lexus has ever put in. I've never been a fan of glossed-up wood in cars, makes the wood look fake. This makes it look a lot more natural. Bravo Lexus!

interior is almost perfect. Two things that bug me:
1) the drink holders
2) the sloping trunk wall on the right hand side

That wood almost looks like bamboo, which would be the first use of that material in a car interior that I am aware of. nice.

No cooled seats? That would be a bit of a bummer

The wood version is very handsome. It's interesting that although there's wood on the dash, there's none on the door window/lock switch pods. The HS has the opposite - wood on the doors, but none on the dash. It seems they're cost cutting on both these models, or making sure they look less luxurious than their other models which is too bad. The exposed vertical run of the front seatbelts by the B pillar looks cheap (same as HS), and in my experience with an HS results in rattling of the belt buckle against hard seat back.

Oddly, the cheaper CT has some improvements over the current HS:
* It appears to have soft-touch plastics on the side of the center console
* Cloth on back of the front seats, instead of plastic.
* Less hard plastic on door panels
* More ergonomic up/down arrows on mouse control
* Less chintzy handle to lift trunk floor
* Badge holder on sun visors
* Actual storage cubbies (due to untruncated center stack extending to center console)

Default Wood Trim

I have read that the wood trim is a Dealer installed option. Maybe by the time they go on sell in the US there will be more wood options available.
