*** BRAND NEW! DGR HP Custom Coilovers ***
For those of you who haven't heard, there is a new coilover company in business. They are called DGR Suspension. They are bringing in a new line of mid level coilovers. They are all custom built per your application and setup. Here are some of the standard features you will find.
Coilover Specs and Features:
1) 30 way, Double Adjustable (Damper/ Rebound)
2) Mono-Tube Construction
3) Full Height Adjustable
4) Pillowballs with Koyo spherical top bearings
5) Cold Wound, Heat treated Coils
6) Customizable spring rates, at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE (plan for roughly 14 days for delivery on custom orders)
7) Customized kits are valve matched to the springs
8) DGR Suspension systems are NOT rebadged kits currently on the market.
9) Top spherical bearing is from KOYO in Japan
10) Seals are from NOK in Japan
11) Fork oil is from IP in Italy
These coilovers are still brand new so we have no review to send you to yet. However, once there is a review we will be posting up the link We will also have more technical data available soon. If we get enough request for these in the next week (today is 1/18) we will be posting up a group buy and saving the first 5-10 customers around $150+ a set.
DGR is my new company on the market and figured I'd pass on my own review...I have a miata, but we serve almost everyone; especially Subaru.
I bought a set for my Miata, shipped super quick from my manufacturing point in Taiwan.. They were on my door step before I could even ask for tracking info. I went with the softer "Street" set up (8k/ 5k springs).
Out of the box, I loosened the spring collars just to take any pre-load off the springs and adjusted the body to be as short as it could go. With the car in the air, it allowed for about 2" of droop (from top of tire to fender arch). When I set it down the car was ON THE GROUND! I already had Konis with H&R Springs and collars and sat at 12" hub center to fender. I already had to use a scissor jack just to get a hydraulic jack under the car. When I lowered the car off the stands, my scissor jack got stuck. I was about 2.25" from the ground to the pinch weld. Hub center to fender height was 9 7/8" Front and 10" Rear. I obviously can't drive that low with minimal camber and 0 offset, but I took it down the street anyhoo. I had full shock travel so even on the ground the ride was awesome. I put the car back in the garage and settled at about 11 1/4 " Front and 11 3/4" Rear hub to fender. Still very low, tires are dead even with the fender arches. Looks proper.
This morning on my way to work, I hit a patch of road that's been torn up for new concrete and my car used to wander and rattle all over the place. No more. Absorbed every bump and no more fighting to keep it straight. I've owned Teins, JIC's and this recent Koni/ H&R Combo. For the money, this is the best bang for the buck and I'd put them up against any of the top suspensions on the market for double the price.
Today I am getting an aligment, zero'd out toe and caster and -4* or more of camber so I can go to about 10.5" hub to fender. ~3" of ground clearance is fine. :-D
As the exclusive US Distributor, I have to try out the product to make sure you guys get the best for your hard earned money.
