Basically asking if there is any future-proofing.

Thanks.
If you send your ecu in for tuning then yes you need to send it back in for additional mods/changes. But if you got the handheld all you need to do is have RR send you an updated file. Pretty much the base tune will cover all scenarios unless you get the tuned intake or headers running without the O2 sim. So altitude tune, regular tune and tuned intake. Then obviously the supercharged tune if you have that kinda money.

I disagree. I currently have just the JoeZ cat-back exhaust and used the handheld to flash the tune about a year ago. I just ordered headers (w/o O2 sims) and hi flow cats and RR Racing said no tune update is necessary....plus I should get no CEL when I add the headers without the sims.
The exception is if you get the RR tuned intake or RR supercharger. Those require an updated tune mapping.

^ correct - same story with me. I ordered and installed the tune before going full catless, no need for an update.

However, if you are going with the RR larger intake - you will need a new tune.

With the OBD2 hand-held device, is there still need for laptop with Windows or this is just a plug and play now?

As far as tune for cars with headers, any difference for Sikky and PPE or same tune? As I prefer Sikky V2 headers for my car in the short future. For the option to program the ECU to eliminate the potential cells, do you still run the 02 conditioners or do you need to remove them? Or not installing the conditioners assuming the headers will come before the tune.

Is there any video for DIY tuning with the hand held device?

yes windows, unless if u have Mac u can setup your Mac to boot into windows. For headers u just have to let them know if u have headers or not. I still have the O2 conditioners on. I would check that with rafi.

If you have the tune, and opt to eliminate rear o2's, is there any point in even having them any longer?

As in people try and squeeze in the high flow cats in the usual spot prior to the rear o2. Why not just put them in place and unplug the rear o2's all together? Does the ECM still look to them for some sort of signal or is it coded out?

No, it is specific to the ISF.

Or it simply no cels no problem when smog check test is completed.
You can run with or without them. I ended up taking mine off shortly after I got the tune. But if if you install the headers and tune at the same time you will not need to install them.

As far as smog I cannot answer that question.

I think it will show the sensor as ready/normal when you go for inspection.

Just curious if any new development of the tune? Love the tune as it is. But if something else gets unlocked I'm game!

Its dependant on the shipping provider used and how the item is valued. Normally I would say yes, but with my recent purchase from RR Racing on ths USRS, I had no tax or brokerage charges on my end
