So is the TCU issue solved yet for the increased rev?

The last I heard was yes you can get the TCU issue resolved (hold unto the 7200 redline w/tune) if you send your ECU in to be bench flashed, they currently have not been able to flash through the OBD II port with the myGenius

I installed their tune via the OBD 2 device and my car, without question, revs to 7200rpm without unlocking the torque converter. Maybe it's because I have an 08 model year?

It does rev to there but it goes neutral after 6800rpm. Since it's 400 rpm and near redline it's really hard to tell.

How does anyone tell anyway? Also, is it damaging to the car in anyway?

If it was all positives and no neg side effects, I'm sure Lexus would have it revving to 7200 from the factory.....

Here is a video I just took. It does not unlock the torque converter or "go neutral" after 6800rpm.

The car is more powerful and the difference is worth it. Note that I do not have headers or the tuned intake just yet. I know after the install of those two items, it will be AWESOME!

Well, we have been running 500+whp for 8+ months, 6 tracks, nearly 10,000 miles without a single problem... so using the "Lexus would have done it" logic would should have just left it stock, and had so much less fun over the past 8 months

Yea, true, lol. I guess just like the crappy designed stock exhaust on the F... doesn't make sense why they did that.

How will this work for those of us that don't have aftermarket/catted stock manifolds, an intake but just have a cat back system? Have there been multiple maps created for those who don't have those mods?
Also interested for those that don't have headers. Anyone have a tune with just a catback?
