The moderator team is testing out a new way for our CL vendors to better communicate model-specific items, get better input on products and pass along group buys and sales to our members specific to their model Lexus.

To do this, we are trialing this new vendor product subforum under certain models where only vendors can start threads. We will have prefix like group buy, new product, picture thread, etc so members can sort the specific items they are interested in. This subforum is somewhat like the current Vendor Product Announcement forum except 1) it is model specific and 2) members can ask questions vendors can reply to.

To make sure this is an informational forum for our members, vendors posting here must follow the following rules:

1) Only vendors can create threads, but members can respond
2) Item topics should be model specific, not generic if at all possible.

Example: We've developed this bushing for an IS-F for track use.

3) A prefix to explain what your thread is will be required.

1. Example 1: New Product, to announce a new item specific to this model Lexus
2. Example 2: Group Buy, to draw member attention to a sale on a specific item for this model Lexus and have members sign up to purchase
3. Example 3: Picture thread, to demonstrate an item on a specific model Lexus (example, wheels)
4. Example 4: Gathering Interest: Would owners of X model like to see this product come to market?
5. Example 5: Sale, to advertise a discounted (non-group buy) price on a specific model-specific item
6. Example 6 - Discontinued: To announce selling out stock of a particular model-specific item

4) Maximum of 5 new threads by any vendor each month in each model-specific vendor subforum. Excessive threads will cause access to be removed after one warning. If a vendor has more than one vendor account, the 5 threads are across all accounts (example: a vendor with two accounts could post 3 threads on one account and 2 on another).

5) NO BUMPING of threads by vendors in these new forums. Our members may respond and ask questions which vendors can respond to, but interest in the thread will be driven solely by member responses once they are posted. If you bump your thread, it may be locked or deleted. Vendors who manipulate the bump rules via personal IDs, friends / sponsored members, etc will have access to vendor subforums removed.

6) We recognize that some CL vendors don't have a model-specific item to sell. You're still welcome to post here, but we ask you please try to make any content posted model specific. For example: Here are pictures of this specific detail product used on a RC-F and we're having a sale on it.

The rules above focus posts on a specific model market, keep this forum a fair playing field for all vendors who are developing products for that Lexus model (thank you), and allows member interest and replies drive the activity and visibility of the product thread.
