RR Racing ECU Tune

Edited 2/19/16

Hey all,

So we are now ready to release our 2006-13 Lexus IS350 tune.

Ordering link (and more info): http://www.rr-racing.com/RR-Racing-L...s350tne001.htm

Please use discount code "IAMTUNED" to get an introductory $100 off.

Many of you have been following our hugely successful thread related to our IS-F tune (and seen all the great feedback we are getting). Using all the knowledge and experience we gained tuning the Lexus ECU on the IS-F, we are happy to introduce our IS350 tune:

Results (see dyno below): 10-15whp, and 10-15wtq.

We feel that one of the biggest improvements was raising the rev limit to 7000rpm. As you can see from the dyno graph below, we managed to keep the power steady all the way up to 7000rpm! This means "more area under the curve" and better acceleration. Some on-the-road testing yielded a 0-120mph time of about 17 seconds... that's not to shabby, and it beats or equals cars like the Acura NSX, and BMW E46 M3!

Damn I really wish I was near you guys but California is probably a little too far away lol. I hope somebody jumps on this soon, I can't wait :D

The six-speed auto transmission on the 2nd Gen IS350 is known for being notoriously slow to respond when manually shifting gears as it behaves as a gear limiter rather than a true gear shifter.

Would it be possible to improve the responsiveness of the six-speed auto to better emulate the shift speed capabilities as seen on the 4th Gen GS350 with the same (or similar) six-speed auto?

We're all looking forward to seeing what kind of power the 2GR-FSE can achieve with this long awaited ECU tune!

I used to own an is350 and I know the paddle shifter really lags. I have high hopes that RR-Racing will get the is350 ecu tuned. I just received my tune today for my isf and I can tell you guys, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE in mid and high range. Very satisfied customer here and keep up the awesome work!

Yeah a deal on both would be great :)

I will also put off adding an aftermarket subwoofer if this tune happens soon.

We will have plenty of package deals with suspension, USRS, PPE headers, all kinds of stuff.

Im assuming you cant work with a boosted 2IS unless you have one on hand to aid in tuning? :( my fiancee and i both have boosted 2IS but were down in Texas.

That would kind of have to be done with the car on hand. BUT, it is possible to rework the ECU to allow better integration of fuel and ignition controllers, as often these external piggybacks trigger all kinds of codes that we can prevent.

Yes, we are aware of that issue, and we can try to work it if we have enough access to a car.

Subbed on this. Having been the test car for many of PPE products, I will be anxious to potentially have this done to my car. I would be interested in the personal ability to play with settings though once cracked. Will you provide software or anything of the sort that would allow us to customize our settings to our personal cars and driving styles?

Tro209 02-05-16 11:12 AM

Not trying to rush you guys or anything but uh... How long till you have a tune for us?:D

Just seen a video of an ISF pulling from 20-100 with your tune and my god that thing was fast :eek2:

As you may have noticed there is now another tuner known as TTFS making a tune for our cars and they managed 12whp gain on the is350. I like what they managed to gain but I decided that I would wait and see what you guys can do first. That way I know for sure I'm getting my money's worth as I'm sure will many others. I really hope to see great things come of this just like the ISF, I can't even begin to describe how excited I am right now lol.

Ahhh.. what a great day that we can all finally say our cars are tuneable :bigthumbu

I have agreed to bring my car in to Rafi in order for him to test the tune on our cars. Very excited for this opportunity to contribute back to the Lexus community :)

BIG HOPES RIDING ON THIS!
