Anyone in SoCal, San Diego preferably, have a stock IS F intake tube I can borrow to get smog tested? I currently have a Joe Z intake tube, but can't find my stock intake tube at the moment. I'll keep looking for it, but was just wondering if someone can help an IS F brotha out. Thanks in advance!

unless your smog check testing facility is run by communists, you should be able to pass smog WITH the Joe Z intake pipe.

"J" if they open the hood and see a JoeZ sticker on the intake they will fail him. Saying it's after market.
I had same problem when I got mine smogged. The guys did the physcial inspection and saw that I had the JoeZ pipe with sticker. And failed me.
So, I had to take and put on a stock intake pipe.

Believe it or not technician told me due to that aftermarkrt pipe he cannot pass me.Come back with stcok pipe and I will pass.
Which I did.

Exactly. It's part of the visual inspection of the smog test. I don't have the Joe Z sticker on my intake. But, each smog station varies (typically). Before CA changed from using rollers and sniffer test to the OBDII only test, I was able to pass because the guy let me but warned me next time about having the Joe Z pipe installed and bring it back with the stock pipe for next time, which coincidentally was my last smog check 2 years ago.

At any rate, I will post in the IS F forum anyway as well. Thanks guys.

hrmm when i got my lexus smog they didnt even look at anything beside scanned my bar code and that was a 5min smog.
