Anyone know someone or place that can & has hardwired radar detectors?
we need to hardwire a valentine. Need a place that will do it right the first time and for a resonable price. Anywhere in the 626 or 323 area. Thanks for the help in advance.

it's not hard, you can just hotwire it to the cigarette lighter in the ashtray. i did it in less than 15 mins in case you want to pay someone to do it

the alternative is to hotwire it to the rear-view mirror.

it's an easy DIY, as long as you have the right tools. just make sure you get the right polarity.

have you checked out the V1 hardware guide in the 2is section?

We are tyring to make it wireless, im using the cigarette lighter now. but dont want to do it that way.

Btw this is for a 2012 EQUUS

cigarette lighter as in going from behind to tab into the power and then run the phone line across dash and pillar and roof liner...

do what i did.

run the wires up the pillar and just use the default cigarette lighter.

i then let enough wire hang out so i could connect the RD.
