I turn on garvey and Atlantic while it is red...to me it is green but i dont remember it is red or green. there are no sign said cant turn on red thought, so should i fight for it? I was saw he car behind my car but then i just stop step on the gas so the speed went down to 36 and then after that he just pull me over for turn red light, when he give me the ticket, he told me yea u turn on red and hella fast????? I think he try to catch me for speeding but he fail on it

when you see a red light even for a right turn, you have to stop completely. its like a Stop sign lol

yea but on the ticket said turn on red only. so should i just fight for there r no turn on red sign. he didnt put i didnt completely stop though

He got you for not coming to a complete stop before turning on a red. It doesn't matter if there is a sign if you didn't stop

You can call the local courthouse and when it asks you which department, ask for clerk of court. Then ask how much the fine is and if it's not the correct department, they will transfer you to the correct one. As the people before me told you, you ALWAYS have to come to a COMPLETE stop, whether or not it is a red light or a stop sign. Otherwise they will give you a ticket for a "rolling stop".

Fine is likely $350, but you should go to court and try to get it reduce.

Also he has a right to pull you over if you did not come to a complete stop. Lesson learned.

Well if this list of the new fines for CA in 2011 is correct, and the Vehicle Code you violated is VC 21453(A) then the ticket is:

VC 21453(A) $436 Failure to stop at a red signal.

most likely it will be around $346, just got mine in the mail. the camera got me making right turn on red without stopping. grrr...

lesson learned! ALWAYS make a complete stop!

Rolling out of the District in OC, I had a feeling a motorcycle cop was just out of view. I stopped and went on, the car in back kept rolling right behind me. Next moment the blue-red light show but for the car in back of me. Whew...
