Default place to do 2jzgte swap. Labor...

Can anyone recommend a good spot in los angeles to do a 2jzgte swap? I own a sc300.

I will source the motor and get all the components needed. I just need them do do the labor and everything elese to make it work. If they can do tuning, thats even better.

Also how much do they charge? Honestly Im not even sure of the average price of labor. If someone can help me out with letting me know that would be of help.

Thanks in advance.

SRMotorcars
Kaizen
FSR

Those are 3 places that i would trust doing a swap. As far as pricing goes, i'd recommend calling them. It's going to vary depending on how extensive you are getting; if you need them to do the harness, want a FMIC, are going stand a lone, are rebuilding the motor, need a transmission swap.

But if you provide all the components necessary and basically all they need to do is drop in the motor. A little over 1k is what you are looking at.

thanks for the info.

Im gonna start hitting some of these spots up.

With the spot in El monte, you said hes good at wiring, so he can do the harness also? I was planning on giving both my harnesses to dr tweak to have retrofitted, but that would be around $700.

I wanna keep the w58 if i do this. I was told the w58 could hold up to 400 if babied. I would just be running the stock hp. Not planning on building the gte crazy anytime soon. So from what i heard im think it should hold 300-350 hp ok.

I hope so. Im still deciding on everything. Someone I know can get me a decent jdm gte for a decent price. Im just figuring out the details specifics needed.

Regardless I need to research it now. Cause if I dont get the motor now, Im already set on getting it within a year! So this is just learning I need to do regardless.

he did everything in house for my swap, with the exception of the head, that was sent out. But not sure about the price, you have to call him for that.

If you leave the motor stock you should be fine with a W58 but since the motor is going in why not plan for the future as well?

Leaving it stock is so hard.. the motor has so much potential even at BPU rocking 350-380rwhp~ im bored with it already. The engine does not come alive until you slap a Single on it. Which im still debating on myself.

Just take it slow get the right parts and do it right the first time. It will save alot of headaches down the road. I would think $5k~ would get you just the JDM Motor Swapped.

^SP is extremely expensive, but they'll do it right no micky mouse, it'll look factory.

Still wondering who around here did a 1jzgte in a shop and how much was the labor?
