had this conversation at the last friday night meet with a few friends.

For cheap needs, not permanent, like if your driving across a few states or something
use low adhesive painter's tape, and then put a layer of regular painters tape on top of it. google it.

low adhesive painters tape isn't very sticky, it also isn't very thick. so put another layer of regular painters tape on top of the low adhesive painters tape for some extra protection.

if you use the regular painter's tape it should be fine too, just gotta wash off the front of the car after you remove it because a little bit of stickyness will be left over and dust will stick to it.

otherwise clear bra it

also just don't tail gate people, it really reduces the ammount of rockchips you get

when i first read the OP, i thought he was referring to the bottom part of the bumper, where scratches and scrapes will most likely occur with a lowered/slammed car. things such as dips, inclined entrances/driveways, and potholes. if that was the case, ive heard that velcro strips might help to ease the scraping sound.

+1 with velco strips on the bottom, choose the furry side if i remember correctly :D

Superjatt 02-16-10 06:15 AM

carbon fiber splitters buy small ones and put them under your bumper at the places you rub the most at. work great
