Default Auto glass polishing or re-surfacing

I've searched and called many shops and they do not offer glass polishing/re-surfacing (only replacements). I have some scratches (done by wool) on my side windows that I need to polish out does anyone know any place or have any information about this?

have you tried using compound? its pretty hard to scratch glass... are you sure its a scratch in the glass (fingernail test) and not something baked on?

hey, i got a bulls-eye crack on my windshield earlier today while driving the 10fwy. there's a small crack that went along with the bulls-eye crack. has anyone had any experience with those diy repair kits or the safelite auto glass coming to do it for you? the size of the whole thing is smaller than a dime. safelite online quote is $92.95

Which insurance company are you with? It's been a few years since I've had to get a windshield repaired so I'm not sure if this is still the case, but with 21st Century, I went to a shop that they referred me to, and they paid the shop directly and I didn't pay a cent out of pocket. They said it saves them money in the long run to just pay for the repair because when people elect not to get their windshield fixed, the crack almost always gets worse, and they'll end up eventually having replace the entire windshield.

lol.. went down to walmart and purchased fix-a-windshield repair kit. IT WORKS!... and only for $10.. i have state farm insurance, and i think my deductable is $1000 or so, so it wont be worth it to go through insurance..
