Default Lets have a Summer BBQ MEET !!!!
One with plenty of parking, BBQ pits, and a closer-to-the-beach atmosphere:

WHERE:
El Dorado East Regional Park
Long Beach
Spring Street Exit off the 605 Freeway

Here is a linkie...
There's a petting zoo!!!

WHEN:
How about Sunday, July 22nd. Early at around 10AM.
Picnic tables and areas are first come, first serve; that's why we should be early...

WHO:
All are invited!!!

Attendees :

1) Phil : PhilipMSPT : Cornbread Salad with Honey Mustard Vinegarette.
2) Jay : JAY : Cajun style sausages, Korean BBQ Ribs
3) Hiro : abflug_GS : plates and forks and napkins
4) OC 335i : Drinks
5)guile : Alexusoftime : rice/burgers and maybe orysters if any desire

great beach water i can only think of a couple...by my place corna del mar..has a nice park / beach area with big parking lot...might have to pay to park but have benches / shade / sands / bond fire .. here is the parking lot

you can't have a beach picnic without a big lot. i say you just pick a really cool location, not necessarily a beachy place. unless someone has a beach house

The last few years we had it at Pathfinder Park which seemed to work out well in terms of location. One year we grilled but someone showed up to claim a grill reeeally early before anyone got there. Last year we didn't grill but split off into groups and went to restaurants.

Parks are cool. However, blistering heat mixed with hot bar b que isn't going to be the best idea
