Finally got a hold of Elite Lexus Services this morning. I was playing thru their chat system on their website and someone replied. I will be bringing my car to their shop for a timing belt service in the coming weeks. A review will be posted after the service gets completed.

I have been to TLC countless times and I also use Elite Service Center http://www.eliteservicecenter.com/ (858) 381-0303. Both companies are straight shooters.

I've talked to T @ Elite a few times regarding my Supra just to see how knowledgeable he was. I still have to bring my car in for the belts and water pump but he mentioned since the radiator has to be removed, go ahead and buy the hoses and thermostat and they'll change them out.
He's sounds like a good and honest guy and my friend brought her IS for the 30K service was happy with the service.
I called TLC and when the teenager kid answered the phone, laughing like him and the mechanics were horsing around, I didn't even bother.

Pole Position
Taking my IS to ELITE this Friday for an oil change (hopefully that's it & it won't need anything else). This is the first service work I've done to it since I bought it used a month ago. I'll post results after. I've had bad experiences in the past with the young kids who work at Valvoline or Jiffy Lube, and quite frankly, my IS is just too damn nice to risk them messing it up and would rather take it to "professionals". BTW - YELP reviews of ELITE are outstanding = 41 reviews, 5 stars.

Update - I'm very impressed with Elite. T (the manager) is real knowledgeable and professional and they took good care of my IS. Looks like they do great work at a very fair price. I think I just found my new mechanic

I have a new set of Tein coilovers that i'd like to get installed in the San Diego area. Does anyone know of any good spots that can install them? Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.
