There's a few things I see wrong with this:

1. Manager takes it home every night as his DEMO car to his friends & family.
2. Hard to believe a 5 yr ULEV car failing smog already.
3. If there is tranny problems why is the manager continuing to drive it?

I did noticed it is an Ultra Lux but definitely avoid it.

I got a phonecall from Mr. Parker today apologizing for the actions taken by his staff and himself for not being involved more.

He also mentioned that he really does not feel right selling a car to any customer that has CIGAR SMELL in it..So I guess the car is off to the Auctions.

As far as the "SMOG" Issue goes, it is Mis-information..I guess the Lady (Tiffany) was mis-informed about that particular detail.

He did mention that He will help me or "Hook Me Up" whenever I need anything in the future.

Nice guy to talk to actually.

Thanks for hearing/reading my rants guys/gals...

That's the game many dealers play with customers. That trick is very old. NO MATTER WHO TELLS YOU WHAT, THAT'S A LIE. Remember they're on 1 side, and not your side. It advertised at a very low price for a car. Sometimes, the cars are new and the ad lists like 3 or 4 cars. The reason is to get you to the dealer so they can play with you, either to sell you a car that they can make more profits, or to sell you their loans. In that case, if you're tough enough to ask for the proofs such as the smoke and tranny papers..etc, and also to tell them you'll report this incident to the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, DMV...etc, I'm sure 100% they'll change their way of treating you. The fine for false advertisement is about $300,000. At this point, they'll agree to sell you the car but with a high percentage of interest to make up for what they'll lose on the car. And now, it's your skill to deal with them. And if you want to go further, print that ad on Autotrader and report to those government agencies...I really hope this won't happen.
