I know it's not the OC, but I just saw a gang of chili plants at the Vally Indoor Swapmeet...the smallest ones were going for $1 and they had a BIG selection.
I second the notion that swap meets are a good place to get them. But the best thing to do IMHO is to go find a friend with a chili plant you like, and just take one of his. That way, it's a variety you like.

So your advice is to just gangsta someone out of their chili plant??? Ha ha ha ha ha!
"Whassup homie? That's a nice chili plant you got. You should give it to me. What fool? This is a jack! Break yo'self! Gimme that damn plant before I bussa cap!"
Most of my friends are pu$$ies when it comes to eating spicy stuff. Same goes with most of the stuff at the grocery store too. Theyre just not hot enough
You're in the OC right? I used to live in Long Beach and I have a tip for you. Go to Shoreline Village (where the Yard House restaurant is) and look for a place called "Hot Licks." There's a bordwalk area near where they moor all the boats behind the restaurants, it's located on that boardwalk and they sell all kinds of spicy sauces and things. I bought a gang of spicy stuff out of there because I love spicy foods as well. Check it out man, you won't be disappointed. Anything "habanero" is gonna be hella hot...but they have stuff there that's so hot I wouldn't even allow them to place a drop of it on my tongue!
...and don't say the homie Mike never put you up on anythang

Well, I mean the nice way is to ask first. I have a chili plant that I really like, and every season I forgot to pick all of the chilis off. So some fall to the ground, and they start up new chili plants. So there's like 4 or 5 of the same plant, I wouldn't mind giving away one to a homie.
