It's not so hard considering we have already 10 people that have confirmed to go up. This is about the same amount we had last year so far. I go often so taking a trip up there is nothing. Even some SD guys are driving up with us. You don't see them complaning. More to come.

It's an interesting idea that has been discussed before, but didn't go anywhere. Wherever the meet is held, there probably needs to be someone living near that location in order to make it happen.
So unless you can get someone to volunteer to handle a majority of the meet work it's not going to be easy to do at all.
When Carson had their meet, about 10 NorCal members came down to attend. Several NorCal guys attended the recent LMW meet as well. We usually have 10 + members from SoCal come up to our EOS meet. Kudo's to GunnerMac who drove up from SD to attend EOS V1, back when the meet was much smaller and had no reputation. Talk about blind faith.
Currently SoCal and NorCal can hold meets with 120+ attendees all by themselves.
If you hold a meet somewhere halfway in between, I'd say it would be diffficult to get even 100 cars to show.
So the sad reality is, most people won't justify driving too far just to meet up for 5 hours.
One thing I can't emphasize enough is that all those who have caravaned either up or down Cali can tell you that almost half of the fun was actually making the trip up or down Hwy 5 owning all the lanes and driving at a high rate of speed.
If you wanna read an entertaining story about our 135+ mph convoy, check out post #s 8 & 14.

Start planning and they will come. Otherwise the 10 of us Socal people will continue to go to Norcal.

HEY FLIPSIDE......I have questions.....
So....where's the take off point in Los Angeles?
What time are we leaving?
Are we stopping for food or should I bring a sandwich in the car?
Thanks for lending me your extra walkie-talkie, btw.

I would love to attend but having two kids and staying over night is little tough. However, if next year we can do something in between, then a day trip would be cool with me.

This is the first time I've looked at this thread, but I have had 3-4 people ask me if I'm going to EOS v.4 with you guys this year since I'm finally 18 now, so I guess I'm legal to go this time around. Put me down as a maybe. I'm about 90% sure that I will be going this year, but it isn't 100% just yet. I need to get my hands on the GS since my P.O.S. red ES has been acting pretty ****ty as of late.

Well for me to go to the LMS meet with both of our cars, I took two days off of work, wife and I had to drive separately. Took the kid and another friend, plus some others came with us to convoy.
Friday we took a casual drive down 101, stopped at nice restaurants along the way.
Saturday went to the meet, my wife invited her friends to come to the meet too. Then dinner with more friends.
Went to Disneyland Sunday.
Drove back home Monday afternoon, had a great steak dinner halfway up at Harris Ranch and got home by 7:30pm.
If you plan it it like I did, the family can have fun too.
PS - There are video games and big screen TV for the kids at the meet location, plus flipside909 has made the effort to choose a very nice hotel in a safe location, near shopping, movies, etc. and it has a pool.
We always try to consider families when holding EOS, so that everyone feels welcome.
