Exclamation Need window and central door locks fixed (2002 GS300)-FIXED

Good Morning,

My wife's 2002 GS300 has some electrical issues.

The driver's window refuses to go up and down all the time.

The central locking system is not working (only a few doors lock).

I would like to take it to someone to have it fixed.

Any suggestions?

We are located in the Culver City/Santa Monica area.

Feel free to text me at 215-554-1999.

Thank you,

Tano

On my 1998 my window switch on the drivers side is going out.. Worst case scenario I'll just use the key on the outside door lock to roll it up. As for the door locks not working. If you mean the power locks dont work there is a few DIY's in the GS section. For $35 and a few hours you can replace them all..

Hey,

I have tried the key in the door to roll up the window and it is the same. Could it be the window motor then?

I'll look into the power lock DIY's.

Thank you,

+1 on Tommy. If the windows do not roll up or down when you hold the key on the drivers door in the lock or unlock for a few seconds I would start checking fuses then make sure the regulator harness is plugged in.

Good Morning,

The window goes down no problem but has problems going up...you have to play with the button over and over and it can take 10 seconds or sometimes minutes before it magically decides to work and go up.

It's as if the motor is dying?

I will contact Tommy.

Thanks guys!

If when you turn and hold the key in the drivers door all the other windows roll up and down with no problem then it's your regulator. Otherwise sounds like the window switch is bad. On my 98' the switch is going out

Lex,

The key method works for all except the faulty window. So it's probably the window switch.

I just ordered the Mabuchi motors for the door locks.

I will look into the window switch. This is the car my wife drives so need to fix this stuff ASAP.

Thank you,

If the key method works and the only window that doesnt go down is the drivers window then its the regulator

Lex,

Definitely misread your first post there (trying to multi task at work).

So yes, it must be the regulator.

Thank you sir!

I had issue with my driver's window not rolling up. One day the stars aligned and the window rolled up within a few clicks. Then a buddy of mine rolled it down, and since, never went back up.

Turned out to be the window's Multiplex Computer. I swapped it out with the passenger sides to roll it back up.

Finally got one from the classifieds. All is good now.

Hyaku so your saying just swap the one from the passenger door to check?

Hello,

HUGE and I mean HUGE thank you to lexo98.

I drove up to his house on Saturday and we swapped the multiplex on my driver window (he had one) which fixed the issue.

We also replaced the door lock actuator motors on the driver rear and passenger front doors.

All windows and door locks work perfectly.

He did not remove the windows or door handles to get this done.

Thank you sooo much Sir, you have no idea how happy I am that this is fixed!!!!!

Take care,

T
