Default Paint job in SoCal

I am looking to get a lip painted in Ultra White. Is there any shops in SoCal that have the capability? Also, How much would a lip paint job cost?

I just took my car to Harry's Auto. Collision to get a quote and thought it was unusually low, I compared the quote to another shop and saw that Harry's were using "refurbished parts" -- I'm sure it's nothing that the other shops don't do, but I think you have to make people aware you are using refurb parts or at least ask if you have a preference.

Agree. They showed me the order when I got my part.

You said you have used Harry's in the past and are happy with their work? I need to get my car taken care of and admittedly driving myself a little crazy trying to pick a shop.

Sure did. I hit something on the freeway and needed the front bumper on my IS-F replaced. They did a great job. The rep I worked with was Dave Gasparyan. Hope he's still there (been 2-3 years since my repairs were done). He's a car guy as well so he understands enthusiast.

Default Body shop recs- pearl white

Just wanted to ask the So Cal forum for good body shop recommendations that are good with Pearl White paint. With the LA drivers in rain I've seen a lot of accidents and made me realize that I haven't had to worry about a pearl white car until now so I thought it would be nice to know have a body shop go-to in case I ever need one--Thanks in advance!

blkexcoupe had experience, and I'm sure he will chime in.
pearl white, esp our 3-stage lexus paints, are VERY hard to match.
the color white is the hardest, and you add pearl to it and good luck!
usually blending such a difficult color is near impossible, and it also depends on the condition of the surrounding paint.

what car? I'm sure the newer the car the easier it will be to match.

2016 ES 350 Eminent White Pearl. Ok note to self: stay away from white pearl on my next car or sell it before I get into an accident lol

It's still hit or miss. The first time my car got hit and I replaced the bumper, the shop did a great job of painting and blending. They tried their best to avoid blending it to keep my original paint, but there was no way around it.

I took the car back to them 5 years later when it got hit again, and they did a horrible job of matching it. It looks like they tinted the color in anticipation of aging paint, but took it a little too far. My car was 18 years old at the time, so I already knew matching would be impossible.

The only real advice I can give you is to have realistic expectations about the outcome. From the factory there will be color variations between materials.
