I've taken one of my LMs to get refinished at the wheel supply. They did an awesome job. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the info everyone. I think I'm going to take my wheels to the wheel repair specialist and have them re-polish the wheel. Their price was pretty good and some members had good experiences with them.

I have another question though

I made a post in the tires and wheels sections about the pro and cons of adding clear coat.

Should I add clear after polishing the wheels?

You can use wheel sealer.. (its a pink sealant) by poorboys I think?
Or clear them to save headaches.. Its up to you

if you do you'll lose some of the shine. if you don't, you'll need to polish them every so often. i would recommend using meguire's nxt metal polish. this one works the best out of all the other brands. the shine comes back like you just got them back from a polishing shop.

Default Wheel Repair Shop

Is there any wheel repair shops around Pasadena area? I ran over a pothole today and bent my stock wheels. My tires seem to be ok though. I want to be able to get it repaired in a day, don't like to roll around in a spare tire.

Anybody know a good shop?

Default Help! Wheel Repair??

Any place you guys recommend to repair wheels?

My rear wheel/lip is cut by my fenders, and has hairlines scratches around the lips.

Btw, is it possible to to repair them? When the fender cuts the lips, metal materials peels off from the lip.

pics? if the wheel lips were anodized then to repair them basically the shop would strip the anodize coating off them and repolish them, but the match won't be exact to the other 3 wheels.

if it's chrome the wheels have to be disassembled and rechromed.

if it's just a basic polish+clearcoat, then the wheel will have to be repolished and re-cleared, and you should have a good match.

THe wheels are just polished, not chrome. So all the metal shillings are actually clear coat? Do they need to add more metal or something? LOL
