Honestly, you don't need a "Lexus" tech to work on your car. Our cars are pretty simple to maintain. All you need is an honest and competent mechanic that knows what he is doing.

Default Chicagoland Lexus mechanic?

It's time for me to change my spark plugs on my 07 IS250. I'm at 58K and had some weird vibrations that no longer appear when driving between 50-70mph on and off at that mph range.

The dealer sells the plugs for 108 but charge around $300 for labor. I'm not handy so can't do this job myself.

Any trustworthy non dealer mechanic shops that someone recommends? I'm in Hoffman Estates, IL. Thanks.

Just found this thread. Anyone know of a good mechanic in the Chicago area who can put new spark plugs in my 07 IS250? I'm at 58K right now and it's due to change.

The dealer charges too much for labor so looking for any other suggestions. Thanks.

No idea on an independent mechanic, but McGrath Lexus in Westmont did my spark plugs for $300 (parts & labor).

Thanks to daily400 for helping me out with my 07 Lexus IS250. He replaced my spark plugs for me and he is knowledgeable and I'd highly recommend him.
