Has anyone bought one from any dealers in the Chicago area? I am shopping around for one since my 2008 is coming up off of it's original factory warranty in August.

From research I've seen on other forums, some say it's a waste and some say it could save me. I don't mod or anything - just stock. Believe it or not my 2008 IS 250 only has 23,000 miles on it (I fly a lot).

i bought my warranty from bredamann lexus, bought extra 4 yrs and 45g miles for 1650!

Yes I heard you could get burned with an aftermarket - I sent requests for quotes to Rohrman, Highland Park, Bredemann, and Schaumburg. We'll see

i bought a extended warranty for my 08 lexus is250. supposedly the original warranty expires in 2011. mine was a cpo wich comes with 3yrs warranty if i am correct, but i purchased an extended warranty( best lexus has ) so i can be covered till im done paying it off wich will be in feb of 2017. i paid $3000 for it at the time of purchasing the cpo is250. after reading numerous threads about warrantees, i may have been overcharged by alot and i have even contemplated canceling it and buying from someone else or just not even get it at all, but im not sure if thats a good idea or not..( any suggustions from u guys ? ) that 3000 dollars could be usefull towards some goodies for the ride or even just to have saved up. thoughts? sorry OP for hijacking thread.

Here's the breakdown:

Bredemann:
- 3 year / 75K = $1,750
- 4 year / 75K = $1,875

Rohrman:
- 3 year / 75K = $1,890
- 4 year / 75K = $1,990
Note: Rohrman tried to sell me on a "CCP" instead of a genuine Lexus warranty. The CCP is a warranty extension program specific to Rohrman and not Lexus. They pushed this hard which I thought was sort of shady.

Highland:
- 3 year / 75K = $2,025
- 4 year / 75K = $2,175

I will add that MSRP is 1,750 on a 3 year / 75K so looks like Bredemann wins.

PM me! I have a contact that should be able to get you the warranty much cheaper! Like $400 cheaper (with no tax). I bought my platinum warranty from him and had no issues. Let me know.

I am sure they differ for different cars. I bought the 4 year/100k miles for a bit over $2300.
