my warranty just ended on my 06 is350 in january. recently, my driver seat has been squeaking everytime i get off the seat to leave the car. its really getting annoying.

i went to lexustsb.com and also noticed they had a tsb for it too. sigh, i wish this squeaking came earlier.

also, is there a way i can purchase the parts from lexus to fix it on my own? so i dont have to have lexus dealer take an arm or leg from me for labor?

if there's a TSB it should be free even if you're out of warranty i think..

you can order the parts from Sewell and install yourself. As for the TSB I think once your out of warranty it doesn't apply?

PM Sewell and ask them if it would be covered under warranty if they send you the parts. Can't hurt to ask.

hmm imma get the extended plan then... additional bumper to bumper... mine runs out in january?

The dealer will charge too mucking fuch!!! Once out of bumper to bumper, TSIB's doe not apply for the manufacturer to fix for free. I had that seat squeak TSIB done to my 2007 under warranty. The TSIB kits are quite costly unfortunately. All that kit involved was some felt padding on a plastic ring spacer I believe. That seat squeak drove me nuts.

They're probably going to just charge your for the labor time involved at least that's from my experience, talk to corporate and see if they can give you any "goodwill" assistance, it's worth a shot...
