Default McGrath Lexus, Westmont

Hey guys,

I have had a joeZ intake for awhile and i'm installing it this weekend. My question is, How is McGrath about having aftermarket parts? Have to go in for oil change, squeaky driver's seat and rearview mirror to be fixed.

Also, are there other dealers that are more lenient?

With that you should be fine. Its the same as the Fsport pipe for the most part.

Who do you see for service? Chicago or Westmont??

They are mod-car friendly. I took my car there last and I think Sherri helped me. She walked around the car and inspected my wheels for scratches. Very nice. However, when setting up the appointment with another service advisor, they forgot to schedule me a loaner. The process to get a rental car took +1 hours and I was late for work. I was not happy with that at all. I may go back because they took care of my car, but I will make sure to ask for sherri.

I'm not sure about McGrath, but Lexus of Naperville doesn't seem to mind either. I have a intake, exhaust, and BBK and they don't seem to mind at all... at least for oil changes and a warranty battery replacement.

You will be fine, also, their is a TSB on the 2gen IS for the "Seat Squeak." I had mine done when I had the car.

Had TPMS programmed by them early this year for my Volk wheels. Instead of adding my new TPMS to the 2nd entry. They overwrote my primary entry which had my winter wheels programmed. I just put my winter wheels on and of course the light came on.

How do you change from the 2 sets in the IS? Mine has a switch and it takes a few minutes to change from the other set. I don't recall what I did in the IS but it was more work then the GS. Maybe try again just in case? Hope it works if not take it back.

Default McGrath Lexus of Westmont = Horrendous

I purchased my Lexus a few months ago from McGrath Lexus of Westmont and they are horrible. I have had multiple problems with the vehicle. The service department stinks and can't fix them. They do not stand behind their sales. I am warning people to stay away from McGrath.

Did the car have warranty? If you have no warranty then I don't understand why you expect them to fix ANYTHING...

You joined CL to post this and are very vague in why your calling them out? Please be more specific if your going to post on the internet and bash someone.

If you have a complaint at least take the time to explain what the issue is I am dealing with McGrath right now as we speak. Their service dept. has been EXCELLENT, got me 15% off on my ABS/VSC sensor repair which calculates to over $100. Plus, they kept me informed on the repairs and provided a loaner.

I usually hate dealerships, but McGrath has been one of the best Lexus dealerships I have been too..
