What did you have to do to get the shifter on? I got one for my wife but it doesnt fit, not sure if I got the wrong one.

Does your shifter look like mine? You take the silver part off, and you should have 4 little screws to hold it on. SHould have also come with an little wrench to tighten it, then screw on the silver back on up into it.
