Smog question
Hey Guys I'm coming home with a sc300 and goodies was wondering what exacly is the smog law out ther? is 95 and back or 94 and back no smog? Had my 91 s13 smoged back when came home for the holidays not a problem. Just wondering about my 95.

We do emissions check. Either they do a little dyno thing with the exhaust sniffer...or the plug in and pull codes off the engine.
There are many ways around this...

I don't think IL has OBD1 emissions testing anymore, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Everything pre-96 (OBDII) is exempt from emission testing.

Really...I had to have both my VR4 and my NSX tested...when did they change this?

thought there was no more sniffer testing with the newer cars. just plug into to check for codes right
