Visiting Shedd...suggestions?
So we're taking our RX, and my parents are driving theirs, to Shedd Acquarium on the 28th. We're bringing our two kids, 6 (autistic), and 3.
We were thinking of getting to Shedd early the 28th, but beyond that...??? Spending the night at LaQuinta downtown near Franklin and Arcade (not my choice--just using a free night).
Any suggestions? Dinner, parking, anything unique, etc?
Thanks!

Call ahead to make sure they aren't doing any cleaning. Last time I went, the dolphins were not there since they were cleaning the tank. I was devastated! Haha

Shedd is always fun, make sure you take the kids to see the real life feeling movie theater (I forgot what it's called exactly), it has a whole 3-D experience with the smell of the ocean and even water mists.
Try to avoid weekends, it get's musty and really crowded in some location, especially the Amazon area.
Be prepared to shell out a lot of dough if you plan on eating IN the Shedd itself, if I remember correctly I paid $3 for a bottle of water.
