you can rent tools (spring compressors, etc.) from pep boys (i dont know about other stores) for free....

Lets do Saturday...Your place. I'll bring tools.
I have to drop off my wing at Steve (paint guy) shop.

I don't have a spring compressor...But I can get one.
You have a air compressor?

^^

Thank you! Brian and I got the rears done today. A little more work then I would have thought but I am going to get the XM out also with all the stuff out. Tomorrow the Side Mirrors come off then Saturday we can nock out the fronts. I swear I hope they are easier then the rears where.

I rented the tool for the auto store and they credit me the $$ when i take it back so that works out good. its better to get done at a shop for sure. they have better tools that are easier to use.

we can get your radar done also!

Mike

I am free Sunday, so let me know if you need help Mike! It's gonna be weird seeing your car fully stock. When is the car going?

passnu2 07-24-08 08:25 PM

thanks Vik...will see if I cant be done before then;) funny it looks like the rear sits lower then it should? but its been so long and I am not positive. The fronts will put it back to OEM 4x4 status:)

the car looks perfectly level with the stock rears and the front Teins still on. I am going to see how it rides just out of curiosity tomorrow.

I hope to dump the car next week....

Man that was a lot of work and a sprained wrapped wrist to take from it (LOL), Ah, wouldn't miss it for the world.

Did you have to disconnect the upper control arms to remove the springs?

on the fronts I will have to...its was how they removed them at the dealer when I had them installed. The fronts I think are easier to get in and out compared to the rears.
