Window Tint..how many have it here in IL
I just bought a GS300 from Texas. It has Ceramic Window tint. I love the tint but want to know what other think if i will get busted or not.
If i do get busted what should i do? get a lighter tint?
What do you guys think..

Ceramic usually messes with Radar detectors etc, so that would be a no go for me. I've heard it potentially messed with Nav units too.
As for me I've had 20% tint on my car with no problems whatsoever thus far. Just don't drive like an @$$ to be targeted and you'll probably be fine. I think anything darker than 20 will get you pulled over really quick.

I agree, I have 35% with a reflective quality all the way around. I have not been pulled over yet.. But it will surely happen eventually.

i agree with everyone, depends on where you are at and how you drive. i just moved to a town that i got harassed for months with my last car for tints and no front plate. i now have a front plate as much as i hate it and both my wife and i have had no issues when we drive it. i will get looks but nothing more then that. just be careful, they can give you a ticket. i would just explain that is how you got the car and get a warning to remove...the next time i am sure they wont be as nice.

Just got mine done and you know what? It's not as bad as I thought it would be. I thought I would have to lower my windows every time a cop passed by. The other day a cop gave me the thumbs up. Maybe he meant it like foreigners do?
P.S Now that I have posted this, I expect to get pulled over and ticketed today. Only with my luck (sigh).
