Right. I watch Live PD all the time and will get to this clip. I'm just not dying to see an arrogant idiot drunk driver.

I'm not going to bother to post any, because there are too many of them, but it is amazing the number of videos that have been made of police officers, sheriffs, and deputies getting stopped and arrested for DWI. It ranges from ordinary patrolmen and officers getting arrested to Sergeants/Lieutenants/Captains, and even Chiefs and Sheriffs. These people apparantly live a double-life between the sworn duties of law-enforcement and alcoholism.

Noticed when they were going through the girl's Jeep there appeared to be an empty holster there. Be curious to know if she had been in possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

Lock her up and throw away the key.

I usually support the cops, but I don't see where they had the right to take her wedding ring. That's going a little too far, IMO. She also had a right to contact her husband (which they did not let her do), even at 1:30 AM. No wonder she got hysterical.

They have to take any type of jewelry like that off when somebody is arrested and is combative, its the standard operating procedure. If she flails around she could hurt an officer or herself with a big ring like that. You don't have the right to just call whoever you want whenever you want when you are under arrest, she was calling multiple people before she was under arrest and nobody was answering the phone. When she gets to the police station and gets processed she will have the opportunity to make a phone call. She's going to the drunk tank, they will release her in 8 hours or so even if nobody comes to get her once she has sobered up.

When you are under arrest your rights are curtailed...thats the point.

This was in my office parking garage this morning. This person parked their Highlander in the middle of the travel lanes next to at least 6 No Parking signs. It has been there since 7:30 when the garage was totally empty. They have sent out multiple emails trying to find out who's car it is. You can see the remainder of what used to be a parking line next to them, but when you are there this is clearly a travel lane, he is parked right under the directional signs for office suites etc

Used to live there. Lot of "entitled" people there.

In most juridictions, by law, when you are arrested and booked, you are allowed at least one phone call.

Not from the roadside on a cell phone. As was mentioned, the person arrested gets a phone call once they are in custody and it's usually from the police station or jail. One phone call does not mean the law enforcement officer needs to let the person call half the world from the roadside on their cell phone. Also note that allowing that puts the suspect and officer both at unnecessary risk.

Yes, but as link said not at the roadside when you want to do it. When she gets to the station and gets processed they will let her make a phone call.

She's under arrest...she's forced to surrender to their authority. There is NO police malfeasance here lol, this woman is clearly obliterated drunk, combative, rude and disorderly and resisting arrest. She's lucky she's not face down tazed on the ground.

Today I was the dumb one. Pulling out of my garage this morning and was in a rush. I'm leaving my drive way and look right and left before going into the street and almost ran into a school bus speeding down the road. Should he have been going 40 in a residential 25? Probably not, but I should've done the old right/left/right before pulling out

Bullet dodged! I know the feeling. I've definitely done the same thing before and missed a passing car by a few feet. Our cars both have emergency rear-cross-traffic braking, so I think I would've been ok... but still, I should always check.
