Neither the Cayenne nor the Touareg had front diff locks at any point. Rear locker was optional on both, standard on some trims.

No, the Porsche had a much more powerful engine that allows it to do things the VW simply can't do in sand and mud and decent control

oh that's my b says here they were 'working on one' lol... so i guess it was never made an option? probably for the best it was complex enough already

Since you present as knowledgeable on them is there a combination of the 3.2/3.6 engines with ALL off-road armor and lockers? That would be the version I would want to try and find in black or tan....

Yes, you can get that combo on the first-gen Touareg and any year of the Cayenne. Good luck finding one equipped that way though...very rare.
