Keep it. 32k miles!? It's got 90% of it's life left.

I'd much rather have the GX for the utility and then get an older euro convertible for my old lady to knock around in.
In fact, that may be the direction I go, still working on it.

Default Should I sell?

Thanks guys. I’m keeping the LS! I love the car and it’s silent Interior. 380 horses keeps me satisfied. Mark Levinson is my co-pilot! The GX will never get used to its fullest intent, never off road! As I get closer to retirement, saving $$ seems more important than ever. I remember my LS’s test drive and purchase with such excitement. I scored big time considering its price,
mileage and provenance. I called it my “forever car” then. And it will be in the future. Especially with my Lexus dealership associate discount on maintaining it! They’ve been great. They’ve recommended a few things, only due to its age. Each time I bring it in for oil change, I have an additional recommended service. The free interior panel replacement was a gift! Does it really need new spark plugs? I want to tweak the exhaust so I can hear the V8 rumble. But there goes my silent interior… not a bad problem to have! Thanks again fellow Lexus fanatics. We are a proud and entertaining group!

At 32k miles, I'd say no.
I'd have a tech check out the car and pull the live data on his scanner and see how it's running.
If it's misfiring it will show up as a code or fuel trims will be off.

It does make a difference and thinking a good exhaust shop could do it but highly recommend starting a thread on it in the model forums for advice first.
Reason why is to see what other members have done and the sound they were after so when you go to a shop you know what you want.

That was one of the things I liked about my MB CL500.
Exhaust was quiet but when I stomped on it I could hear it rumble.

Seemed like they did it that way on purpose but I would have been ok if it was a tad little bit louder and more aggressive.
Not headers and flat pack mufflers loud but ya'll now what I mean.

I believe IMHO you made the right choice. Personally I'm moving all EV, but if I had an LS460 I would be keeping it regardless. It will give you many years of service, I'll probably be long dead before it is! Lexus just doesn't make anything anymore remotely like it, or what I want

Nope, Not anywhere near $40K.
It is worth $16-17K tops in today's market.

What you want are Exhaust Vents. Search in the LS460 forum for "exhaust vents"

This will probably the last Toyota product that will last the ages:

Older is better if you just want a truck.

Default Decided to Sell 2009 LS 460 w/40k

Hello! I have decided to sell my LS 460 in the next few weeks (or months)! The deciding factor is Fort Lauderdale's localized street flooding! After our "once in a 1000 years" flooding, I've decided to replace my '09 LS with my husband's lease end 2021 GX! I know apples and oranges... My area is getting hit hard with flooding and I don't want to take a chance of get caught in a flood. My car is safely protected at home and work. But getting to and from has been a frightening challenge! Thanks GX for kepeing my stress levels at bay! More details to come.

did a quick autotrader search. you might not like what you can get for your great condition low miles '09 ls.

best of luck to you! the ls and gx are certainly very different vehicles, but with the gx you won't have much to worry about with flooding unless it's 4 feet deep.
