‘Lol. Did it flop or not? If they didn’t give it time to catch on, that’s not on me.

I did not "flop". no. You're missing the point, Leno basically forced Conan's failure.

I am not sad about that in any way.

Clearly lol

The point is, Jay Leno can be a "not great" guy.

I am sure there are skeletons in Conan’s closet.

Not sure if anyone still watches these terrible late night shows.
I will say Leno had a much more wider appeal than Conan, who is more quirky and sometimes painful to watch when i tried.
Letterman had some cool moments and did pretty good job interacting with guests.

Both Leno and Letterman are much better than the current hosts from the small highlights i have seen of the current shows.

yes leno was more willing to play 'the game' and be what NBC execs wanted him to be, hence why the actual show itself was mostly just kinda bland and risk-averse

as far as on air interactions letterman was my favorite, but i think conan has the best out of the studio segments and remotes

what we have today is almost exclusively bad... i much prefer colbert when he's playing a fictitious version of himself lol, and i don't ever prefer jimmy fallon

Today's stuff is unwatchable. Painfully unfunny.

That’s your generation. The new shows are much more popular with a younger demographic, same with Conan.

I am sure Conan is perfect. So is Dennis Miller…but their showbiz skills suck, so I don’t watch them. Where is all the hate for Clint Eastwood? Ditched his first wife…she took half of his money and some rights rights … he had to change his company as she was entitled to A Malpaso Company or whatever it was called. Then he cheated with Sondra Locke…who was married at the time. He convinced her to tie up her tubes..then made a deal for movies with her…but when it all went sour…he blacklisted her from films. Produced a lame duck movie for her or made it really hard for her… They were all over the tabloids then, you just never knew. I have seen most of his movies in cinemas (when he stars in them). Hollywood is a cesspool (Hans Zimmer). A very dirty business. Everyone has their issues or bad character traits.

HAha - the new hosts are way older than me so not sure what demographic they are catering to. I think the viewership #s are way down from Leno/Letterman days.
