I remember teaching my cousins how to parallel park AFTER she passed her road test.
All I remember the road test was just drive straight 100ft, come to a complete stop, then reverse 100ft. Then the parking lot looks like a mini autoX track and you slowly maneuver around it avoiding the cones. Then you pass the test and get your drivers license.
This was in 93 or 94. Don't know if things changed down there.
Back to bump parking....I like the idea of forcing them to drink spoiled milk
If you think you're in a bad neighborhood when it comes to parking, you gotta come to my neighborhood. I live in a Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, and trust me, 75% (I'm being very nice with that number already) of them cannot park without bumping into you. And NO, I'm not a racist, and NO I'm not stereotyping, it's just a well know fact here in Bklyn. And it is not their fault......it's just that they don't think of a car as something someone would take pride of keeping nice. They think of it as a means of transportation from point A to point B. They don't care about cars and they assume no one else does. No offense to any Hasidic Jews on the board. These are just my opinions and my observations after living in the middle of a Jewish community for 13+ years.
For those of us who live in the NYC area, I think we're used to driving in these conditions already. Like someone else said already, just S-L-O-W down. And it helps if you can remember where all the pothole/manhole covers are.

Ye roads in NYC are horrible, otherwise i would of got 19s or 20s. When i go to the city, i drive 20MPH, all the cars honk at me, especially the taxis lol. I got most of the potholes in BK memorized, so i know how to avoid them.
I agree those hasidic jews in Bk are dangerous. They buy the biggest POS old american cars and they treat them like crap. But women drivers are still the worst IMO.

try driving on 20's every day here in PA. We definitely have the worst roads in the country hands down. As much of my tax $$$ continually goes to the state, and the PENNDOT contractors still use cheap-assed materials so that they are guaranteed a steady job. It's a racket, I tell ya. Any of my PA bro's on CL can attest to this.

Bad roads in NYC that come to my mind:
- Canal St. in Manhattan (more so in the Chinatown section)
- FDR Drive
- Brooklyn Bridge
- all of the 278 hwy and Belt Pkwy
- 65th St in Brooklyn

nyc roads are the worst. no other place can compare... where else can you lose a bus in one second.
