I must admit I really like that Benz convertible. It is really in excellent condition.

Yeah and they can just walk in and drive off!

I love my smart garage door opener. It texts me if the door is open more than 10 minutes and I can close it, and it automatically closes it every night at 11:00 if it was left open.

Thank you. I appreciate the compliments from everyone.. It was just our treat to ourselves after all my surgeries etc etc. (I was on a walker for about a year and a half) And yeah it's crazy, I'm good at finding cars but I REALLLLLLY struck gold here. I'm still stunned in how good of shape it's in. We use the top like it's a new car (alot), knock on wood not a hiccup. Engine and transmission are very solid, dare I say not far off from Lexus if at all.

My spouse used to be such a pansy driving and scared, now it's completely different because this is a car that you can feel the passion just walking up to it, let alone driving it around. It wants you to go fast. My spouse drove a wrecked Jeep when we met, it was horrible. I got the family car situation fixed! Lol!

Thanks!!!!

LOLLLL I forgot all about this, when we had the big home warranty debate...

I thought our broken garage was just some dumb sensor or something and wasn't gonna call but thought about it and changed my mind, ON THE VERY LAST DAY of the contract called about it, and the next day (I was no longer a customer and out of contract, lol) we got everything replaced, sensors and new openers and all. They replaced EVERYTHING except the outside metal tracks.

That cost me $100 service call, so I'm fine with no wifi garage lol. And I remember what was so funny is that I milked so much from that warranty, they didn't want me back as a customer. HAHAHAHA. They never asked me to renew.

I love how smart ones will remind you, etc. etc. I thought it was dumb at first but hell no.

Not sure if I'll ever come around to the wifi faucets, however.

Thats not a typical home warranty experience lol

Love all my smart stuff, smart home, smart cars. I can control every light in my house by phone, lights come on at different times of the day, lights automatically dim when I start watching TV, cars tell me when they're unlocked, I know when they are being serviced when they are started and turned off and when the hood is open so I know they are being worked on...

Those are nice techs for sure. I have no idea why BMW would not give a notification when unlocked. But some MB folks feel annoyed because they get one when the car is home and they leave it unlocked. They try every possible way to disable that feature when at home. Lol I need that notification. You left out one thing that I think is so crucial now. Being able to remote start the car to cool down and it stays on () when you open the door is for sure a nice feature to have.

Chrysler doesn't send a notification like that either, but MB does and so did Lexus!

I know what you mean. The way to disable it is actually to set a routine in your phone to not display notifications from that app when you are at home. I just ignore the notification lol

Yes about the remote start! MB shuts if off when you open the door like Lexus does...

I know, I know how to work them and milk them for every penny. We've all been through this lol. Multiple things I knew would go, and they all got fixed. New water heater, new ice maker, new garage door, and band-aided the janky upstairs A/C unit. It was leaking freon but it doesn't anymore. AHS paid for itself like 5xs over, at least.

I had AHS and I couldn't get them to pay for anything, and they want me to sell AHS warranties lol. They used to be better, but anymore its really hard to get them to replace anything.

They were doing biweekly for a long time. But a Crown is pretty expensive for a Toyota car so it’s a little surprising they are doing it for that model

Interesting, is that common in Canada? We advertise everything monthly here.

In Australia they advertise rent and mortgage for houses weekly…

Borrowing money sucks right now. I don't pay attention but I sort of gather leases have skyrocketed too.

Houses are still selling okay here, however it's crazy to me that people are taking mortgages that are literally DOUBLE the interest what anyone like us paid 5 years ago. Everyone else I know refinanced. I mean, double the interest is some serious extra coin going to some greedy bank that's already making 6 figures off of your loan.

Rates are still low historically, we were spoiled by 8% for a car is not a bad rate historically, 6.75% for a house is still low.
