However, I pray the trailer hitch is optional. I watched a random live feed of the debut and I can't unsee that gigantic trailer hitch cover. It's so big and sticks out far!
Looking at these two Lexus debuts, it's clear the interior cost cutting bug hit Lexus too. The absence of trim and hard plastic on the console is significant departure from the norm.
Sigh... welp, guess this means I can turn my attention to the LC500. That overtrail model will appeal to GXOR-crew for the aesthetic, but it's not priced for what they would pay to beat it around. Interior is wildly... WILDLY humdrum. For their own sake, i hope some better photos come out when some luxury trim models start being available
The non overtrail model is a little more aesthetic, I do like it... but still just kinda looks like a shortened LX600 from the side. Toyota reliability is cool and all but I cannot for the life of me understand why they can't even get in the same stratosphere as mercedes/land-rover for interior or exterior styling. They make great 2doors, but they can't style an suv to save their lives. Thank god for the reliability.
Oh and did I hear a meager 50hp gain and ONE mpg gain?
Overtrail+? Can't even keep up, so much to pore over!
from the article you posted:
Overtrail+ grade will come standard with an exclusive seat design for optimal off-road comfort with available driver and front passenger massage seats and driver power cushion extender.
i LIKE the gx interior and front/rear, but really don't like the side profile.
this video says it's 5" longer and 4" wider, but wheelbase is only 2" bigger so obviously the front/rear overhangs are bigger and i think that's the reason i dislike the side profile so much besides the endless unnecessary kinks, lines, bulges, bumps, etc.
Looking at videos, reviewers are saying high quality... Everything seems to be covered in leather.
I’ll wait for the full reviews when they are actually honest. In the picture I posted I can see that the rear of the armrest where the backseat climate control buttons are is all hard plastic with visible seams, something Lexus is usually better about.
