The importance of IQS are basic things like build quality and out-of-factory defects. Which is why seeing Dodge first and Audi last is very odd.

Its odd because it makes no sense, and infotainment issues are weighted too highly for the measure to have validity currently.

Just means Dodge can build a car that holds up for 90 days which IQS looks at. As for Audi it's likely an infotainment/connectivity issue lowering their score

I wonder if the data is skewed because of COVID and the recent chip shortages. Less cars were available to the public, and so a smaller sample size brings in more error to the data.

Audi's MMI infotainment has been out since 2019 and they've never sank this low. I won't completely deny Dodge because they have actually been doing better according to Consumer Reports.

That was my point. Smartphone connectivity issues were the main reasons, with so many different smartphones out there with varying hardware and software versions is bound to cause wireless connectivity issues. I have a GROM VLINE 2 in my Lexus, and when they updated it to support Android Auto wirelessly, I started to have major issues on calls to the point I disabled that feature

I don't see it as technology issues are weighted too heavily, it's just indicative of what customers are struggling with/complaining about. yes there are definitely still some fitment and "build" quality issues. Would need to study the data behind each brand and model to see if these are more build issues or design issues.

Quality doesn't need to pertain to just build/fit/mechanical reliability. There's a quality to design/execution.

One of the worst reports I've ever read. None of it matters if one does not take the human behind the wheel into consideration. And how many are under the influence while driving these new cars that ranked on top. In 2021, more than half of Dodge Charger drivers are smoking weed and gawd knows what else when behind the wheel. This is just me behind them on the road. And we are supposed to believe their personal opinions about their car? It is insane and dangerous ignoring demographics.

What this means is Ram buyers love what they got, then reality sets in after 90 days. Woooow Hemi, whoops just lost a gear.

Unfortunately, lots of people smoke weed.....I'm not sure that is an issue with Dodges. With the Charger, and especially the Challenger, it seems to be the retro styling that enraptures these people, not what they put in their pipes.

That, and when you put your foot down leaving smoke and worn out tires. To be young and dumb, I almost miss that. Almost

This makes absolutely zero sense on many levels

Yes, but it doesn't necessarily take a Dodge Hemi to do that. High-powered Mustangs, Camaros, and Corvettes will all do essentially the same thing. The difference, though, is that, while the Mustang also has at least some retro-styling, the Challenger, more than any of the others, makes you look like you are doing it back in 1970 (which was my senior year in high school).

And, it's also possible to be young and not-so-dumb. Though my driving record was not perfect (and I punched it a few times with those old American muscle-cars), I was smart enough to do it in a generally safe manner, and/or not with burnouts, which IMO, abuses a vehicle, its drivetrain, and tires.
