Tesla Model S Plaid
Actually there is a long list. Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Audi, etc. If you go though the Drag Racing and Car Stuff Youtube channel, I think there is only one vehicle that beats the Plaid (Hayabusa)
EDIT
Nevermind, I just watched it, the Plaid beats the Hayabusa....

I'm not taking anything away from the F8, it's an awesome car, but a $284K car...with that much history, money and engineering invested, it should at least be able to compete with a $120K car, straight line
That is certainly your opinion. A RWD ICE car just isn't going to achieve straight line speed to that degree. The F8 Tributo is almost $100k more expensive than a 911 Turbo (if it theoretically had no options) and is slower to 60mph than that car too. Ferrari ownership hasn't been exclusively tied to drag strip performance.

I don’t think it’s that easy. It is very very difficult to get a car in the low 9’s at over 150mph and still be reliable with a full manufacturers warranty and on factory tires. It’s not embarrassing, it’s just reality. Like you said, a lot of moving parts would be needed, AWD, built engine, large turbos, etc. I still don’t know how the Plaid puts the power down so well with the amount of HP it makes. Then you have the compromises like drivability and efficiency. The closest thing to it IMO for daily drivability is the 911 Turbo S which is still an entire second slower than the Plaid but with a tune it makes it a little closer.
