2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV
thats the kicker, with a 329 mile range but a 212kWh battery your charging stops are going to take 3x as long as something like a Hyundai Iconiq 5 which has 1/3 the battery size and similar range (77.4kWh, 303 miles, 10% to 100% in 6 hours 43 minutes). 4 to 100% in 24 hours estimate checks out here compared to the Iconiq. Something like this even more range anxiety inducing than a regular electric car

Good Post.
Those who seem to think that EVs are the answer to the world's problems should watch videos like this.
Yeah, that is a very unfortunate situation with that hummer. I hope GM engineers take some lessons learned from this and apply them to future updates. And that frunk release - they couldn't make a standard manual hood open lever like every other car out there? C'mon GM...
there was a hood release but it was not very obvious, it was some pull cord down in the drivers footwell instead of your typical hood latch release. They had to disconnect the 12V power to do a hard reboot. Even holding down the start button didnt turn the vehicle off. In their follow up video the dealer did some update to some module, so hopefully doesnt come back. Just a pitfall of a software heavy vehicle.

This can happen to any manufacturer. the idea that its a EV just makes it all the more noteworthy. These guys shooting the video are doing it for views. Lots of Hummers out there that are working correctly.
