i doubt it, does it have an adaptive suspension?

Sounds like a good setup for you (you don't care about speed or rear seat room and it will cost next to nothing).

Congrats!
MT or RT tested it 7.4s 0-60... because it is an ev, it gives good impression of speed.

For us in Europe, due to much higher speed limits or allowed limits on highways, all the EVs are very slow, in the right lane with busses, trying to lower their energy usage so they don't have to charge again.

Which is funny because I would buy one because of 0-60 being 3s for 50k. Then I will drive very slow on large trips and extend them at least 30% due to charging. Interesting how brain works.

Mirai is an ev, so it also loses a lot of energy when high speed driving.

I test drove it this weekend. I also find the 0-60 claim of 9 seconds by Toyota somewhat odd as I found the acceleration to be on par with my RX450h which does about mid 7 seconds to 60mph from stand still. I had no issue out running cars on the highway (or freeway in CA) from the onramp. You have to reach pretty high speed to do such a thing when other cars are already going 75 mph. I remember driving cars that take 9 seconds to go from 0 to 60mph. This isn't one of them. Something is off.

This was probably going to be the next Lexus GS350 EV/hybrid equivalent. The next Lexus GS base engine may probably have the same performance as the Mirai. Therefore for marketing purposes, they can't have the Toyota Mirai step on the performance toes of their Lexus RWD sports sedan ON PAPER.

I mean, for the 4th Gen Lexus GS, the engines options : GS300(2LT), GS350 3.5V6 and GS450h, the GS300 probably has the same acceleration as the current Mirai.
