I used to have an 07 IS and when using the tilt-down feature, after a while, it would not revert back to the same position. Dealer couldn't find any fix. Every couple of months, I'd have to manually (gently) move the mirror all the way up with my hand, then all the way down. They it would work fine for a few months.
But, again, without any detail in your post, I don't really know if this is helpful or not.

I have a 2009 RX350. The memory has stopped on my drivers rear view mirror. I will try your trick. I thought one might need to detach the battery or something to reset. My wife says the seat memory and steering will not reset to her setting either when the door switch is pressed. Might there be a fuse for this ?
